Ring of Kerry Tour, Southern Ireland

10th – 15th May 2027

Join us for an amazing 6-day tour to Southern Ireland, including Waterford, Cork, Tralee, the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.

Day 1 – Travel to Waterford

With the help of your Patchwork Tour Leader, we board our executive touring coach for an early start to Wales to catch our ferry. Ferry details are not yet available, but we will advise as soon as they are confirmed.

On arrival in Ireland, we head to our overnight hotel, Treacy’s Hotel, Waterford, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

After dinner, enjoy time at leisure to explore Waterford or relax with a drink in Treacy’s comfortable bar.

Day 2 – Cork and Tralee

After a full Irish breakfast, we check out and travel to the famous city of Cork, beautifully situated on the River Lee.

You will have a couple of hours at leisure to explore. Perhaps visit the English Market, St Patrick’s Street, Grand Parade, or take a photo at St Fin Barre’s Cathedral.

We then continue to The Rose Hotel, Tralee, our home for the next 3 nights, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

After dinner, those who wish may like to take a short walk to the famous Huddle Bar for an evening of fun and Irish music.

Day 3 – Day at leisure in Tralee

Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Tralee.

Day 4 – The Ring of Kerry

Today we enjoy the amazing Ring of Kerry, a 179km circular route around the Iveragh Peninsula.

Our route may include Killarney, Bog Village, Kissane, Sneem, Kells, Waterville, Beenarourke, Moll’s Gap and Ladies View, with lunch planned at the famous Scarriff Inn. The exact running order will be confirmed nearer the time.

We will definitely stop at Bog Village to have a look around. Entry is not included in the tour price.

We will also check out The Red Fox Inn, famous for its Irish coffees — and it would be very rude not to, don’t you think? Irish coffees are payable on the day, approximately €8pp.

This truly is the best of Ireland.

Day 5 – Dingle and Slea Head Drive

After a leisurely breakfast, we check out at approximately 9.15am and head to the beautiful coastal village of Dingle, arriving around 10am for 3 hours at leisure.

Explore Main Street, Green Street and the harbour, enjoy coffee and scones, seafood chowder at Out of the Blue, or a Murphy’s ice cream sandwich.

Before we leave, there will be time for a quick look around the gift shops, followed by a 10km Slea Head Drive taster by coach, including a photo stop at the famous viewpoint of Coumeenoole Strand.

We leave Dingle at around 1pm and arrive back at Treacy’s Hotel, Waterford at approximately 4pm for our final night.

Hopefully, as it is a Friday, we may have some live music to enjoy on our last evening.

Day 6 – Homeward bound

We set off for our ferry crossing and begin our journey home.
